Schemes

The Northern Consortium is a supportive network of schemes who meet regularly to plan joint commissions, tours and other rural touring initiatives. Using our combined resources, networks and communities to bring high-quality artistic performances across the North. We aim to help foster relationships between artists, local authorities, community organisations and audiences leading to a more vibrant and connected cultural ecosystem. Helping to promote the arts across the North of England.   We continue to work towards promoting artistic performances, fostering relationships, striving for greater equality and diversity in our work and exploring innovative ways to adapt to the changing industry. In the longer term we work to create and impact a positive change throughout the communities we represent and the industry we believe in.

Calling all theatremakers: rural touring needs you!
PITCH UP offers an exclusive opportunity to pitch your show to touring schemes from across the UK.
· Never toured your show on the rural network before?
· Have toured but only with some of the network?
· Have toured but not for a while?

@ArtsAliveAndFlicks, @highlightsrural, @spotonlancashire, and @Artsreachdorset, with partners @ruraltouring (NRTF) are coming together to host three digital pitching showcases in 2024.  The first is on Monday 18th March and we are now open for applications from theatremakers (of all genres) who would like to make a 20-minute digital pitch directly to the network for their show to be programmed.   Find out more and apply to be part of this unique opportunity: https://bit.ly/3SByVEP

The Dates: Applications close Friday 1st March. Successful applicants will be notified on Friday 8th March and assigned time slot to present on Monday 18th March between 7-9pm.   You will be asked to ‘pitch’ your show for 10 minutes with a further 10 minutes of Q&A from the panel. You are welcome to use slides, video or live performance in your pitch – the choice is yours!
